Always a big fan of new home and beauty finds, I’ve put together my top candle, makeup, hair and skincare goodies for April. A combination of both new and existing buys, check out what will be popping up in my bathroom cabinet and makeup bag this month.
Up first is Clarins Pore Perfecting Mattifying Kit (£33), which was launched today. A brilliant beauty and skincare set, the compact comprises translucent powder, applicator and blotting papers. The gorgeous gold box opens to reveal each element and I’ve been using it underneath makeup, and for refreshing my face. This translucent makeup contains white clay to keep shine under control, enabling a matte effect.
Complete with an integral mirror, I also love the acacia gum micropearls for gently erasing imperfections and naturally absorbing any excess moisture. One for your spring and summer wishlist, the kit balances and replenishes skin.
You’ve probably gathered by now that I’m a little bit of a candle fiend, continually updating my collection. Rathbornes create exquisite candles, including their fresh Wild Mint, Watercress & Thyme Scented Luxury Candle (£48). Made up of a simple and sweet scent, the fragrance reminds me of freshly laundered sheets. Ginger notes join the inviting candle blend combination, showcasing the brand’s well known expertise.
Chilling out with a candle, wearing PJs and enjoying some quiet peace is one of my absolute favourite things to do. Summer on its way, this mint, watercress and thyme concoction sets the scent scene perfectly.
Adding in a soothing bubble bath, I’ve previously written about the Argan+ Moroccan Spice Collection and can now bring you more information. Brand new and exclusively available at selected Waitrose stores and online, the range features; Argan+ Moroccan Spice Oil Infused Body Wash (£4.95), Nourishing Shower Oil (£4.95) and Moisture Rich Foam Bath (£5.95).
A blend of five oils, these are: baobab, kukui seed, moringa, sacha inchi and argan. The result is an exotic, warming set of skincare products, which are free from plastic microbeads to boot.
Forever an eyebrow obsessive, Shavata products are the cream of the crop. Adding structure and shape, at the moment I’m using their Defining Pencil (£15) and Arch Enhancer (£14). Working alongside each other, you can fill in gaps or ensure a defined brow with the pencil, before using the enhancer for a little extra lift. Designing products to be used as the foundation of your makeup look, founder Shavata Singh is a complete brow and eyelash guru.
Finally, for your tresses, have you heard of the natural brand, Noughty? Available from Superdrug stores and Superdrug.com, products are 97% natural and add smoothing nourishment to locks. Priced at £6.99 each, shop the Noughty Rise & Shine Shampoo and Conditioner.
Designed especially with normal to dry hair in mind, ingredients cover blue mallow flower to smooth and jojoba oil for shine. Avoiding nasties such as parabens and sulphates, the haircare range smells delicious too.
Plus, these home and beauty goodies work extremely well alongside a large chunk of Easter egg…
Disclaimer: all items were gifted to me as press samples. Easter egg mentioned- model’s own.
