February Favourites

The sun has been shining and evenings are gradually becoming lighter, which always seems to bring happy hope after a grey winter.

This month I’ve been looking to fresh, springlike goodies, from the new Popband London collection to Kind Natured skincare.

Boasting beautiful colours and added embellishment, Popband‘s latest lines cover star print, tie dye, pastels and more. Also excellent for use in your little one’s hair, they bring a pop of spring brightness to everyday ‘dos. As someone whose hair is 90% dry shampoo by the weekend, I am a huge advocate of pretty ponytail options. The hair ties are priced from £3.50 to £8 per pack and standout favourite sets are; Kate, Ink and True Love.

Their tagline is “kind on your hair, cute on your wrist”, purely because Popband don’t snag hair and you can stack them up as arm candy when not in use. When I was a little girl, I spent a lot of time looking longingly at hair bobbles in Boots and these happily take me back to those childhood daydreams.

Kind Natured is a natural skincare brand dedicated to gorgeous feel good products. Parts of the selection I’ve been sampling so far are their Deeply Nourishing Shea & Macadamia Creamy Body Scrub (£4.99 for 200ml) and Deeply Nourishing Shea & Macadamia Body Lotion (£3.99 for 250ml).

Soothing, softening and smelling beautiful to boot, said treat tubes seriously indulge the skin. The scrub works as a natural exfoliant and gently buffs away dead skin and purities, while the lotion quenches tired and dehydrated post-winter skin. Ingredients include nourishing macadamia and anti-oxidant rich shea.

Available to buy from Boots, Kind Natured products are gentle enough for daily use and add a little boost to your regular skincare regime. They are vegetarian friendly as well, without sulphates, pararbens or nasty petrochemicals. A new addition to my beauty brigade, they are taking me one step closer to baring a little more skin.

Come on then spring, what are you waiting for? (Insert sunshine and daffodil emoji here)
