His & Hers Chatham Boots

Leaves are falling, there’s a distinct chill in the air and it’s definitely time for cosy boots and winter coats. Living in the countryside, we need practical footwear as well as the heels I tend to totter about in too. Our weekends generally consist of letting the kids run loose and embarking on winter walks, so this blog post has outdoor styling very much in mind. Teaming up with Chatham, the brilliant British brand sent both myself and the Mr a gorgeous pair of boots each.

Looking for snug warmth and winter versatility, I chose their Blenheim Fur Lined Riding Boot (£120). Paired here with a Karen Millen coat which my very generous friend gave me during a wardrobe de-clutter, I’m also wrapped up in a Gap jumper and leather-look leggings from Glamorous. Lined with fur from top to bottom, these boots are toasty warm and massively comfortable too. The robust rubber sole will see you through a ton of winter (and summer) stomping, and the padded in-sock adds even more cosiness.

Fully waterproof boots, you can adjust the leg width with their expandable calf fitting. I’ve been trying these riding boots out for a couple of weeks now and basically, I’m in love. No more chilly legs for me. It’s worth pointing out that Chatham always do bridge the gap between comfort and style very well, adding in their own versatile twists.

Chris picked their Dudley Goodyear Welted Chelsea Boot (£129), worn with his beloved Barbour jacket and favourite jeans. A smart leather shoe, they are Goodyear welted for extra strength and to maximise wear. The tan shade and detail adds in man-about-town cool, whether he’s running after the kids or escaping for a much-needed night off. Sshh, don’t tell him I suggested that.

Chelsea boots are an absolute classic and this pair additionally tick the hard-wearing box. Plus, the elastic entry adds in flexible comfort. I always judge a man by his shoes, and these boots easily win my style vote, so that says it all really…
