As a Mama of 2 who works from home, I’m definitely guilty of having an all-denim daily uniform. So, when George at Asda got in touch inviting me to try something different for the week, I jumped at the chance.
The #StyleYOUniform challenge consisted of working with a budget to pick some staple autumn/winter items and most importantly, ditching my jeans. Furthermore, the main part of my mission was to make it all about a new season George at Asda dress. Basing the looks around their AW15 collection, I chose the Check Pinafore Dress and a chunky knit burgundy and black cardigan, plus 2 essential long sleeved tops. All about the polo neck at the mo, it was easy to wear this grey number both under and over the dress (mainly as I love being cosy).
Teaming the pinafore with bare legs, leather-look leggings and 100 denier opaques, I went from flats to heels and back again. For weekdays, my footwear of choice had to be the beloved and functional Nikes, primarily because of a hilly school walk. But, I’ll be continuing the heels with dress feel on future weekends to come.
Such a fun style challenge to do, I’ve actually taken a long hard look at my go-to daily uniform since finishing it. I’m now mixing things up a few days a week, with my jeans firmly back in action for the rest…
All George at Asda clothing featured was gifted to me for the purpose of this post.
